How do I use the Start & Stop feature on my JustPark app?

🅿️ Start & stop parking in the JustPark app

1) Find your space

• Search where you’d like to park, or enter the Location ID shown on signs/stickers at the machine.
• If Location Services are enabled, the app shows the nearest car parks to you.

2) Check your vehicle & rate

• Your most recently used vehicle appears by default. If you’re using a different vehicle, add/select it now. It’s your responsibility to pay for the correct registration.
• Review the current parking rate, any minimum, and the maximum stay.
• Confirm the payment card you’ll use (select Change to add a new card).

3) Start parking

• When everything looks right, tap Tap to start parking.
• Picked the wrong location or started by mistake? You can stop within the first minute and you won’t be charged.
• Need to change vehicle? You can switch it within the first five minutes. After that, stop the session and start again with the correct registration.

4) During & ending your booking

• You’ll see a timer running and the total price updating in real time.
• When you’re finished, slide to stop. Your payment will then be taken.

💳 Questions about payment

We bill you at the end of your booking when you slide to stop. We don’t offer monthly payments or invoicing for these sessions.

Pre-authorisation

• At the start of your session we place an initial hold to confirm your card can be charged later.
• We instruct your bank to release the hold immediately after you end your session.
• Your bank then releases the remaining funds (minus the parking charge). This typically takes 3–5 working days, depending on your bank.

Good to know: JustPark only receives the final parking amount after you’ve ended the session. The held amount never leaves your account; it’s simply unavailable until released. Any parking charge is taken from that held amount, and the rest is released.
