Barrier & Gate Access Guide

Some JustPark locations are protected by barriers or gates. To enter or exit, you’ll either:

  • Enter a PIN code on the keypad, or
  • Use the Open Barrier button in your JustPark app (found in your booking).

Before you travel:

  • Make sure you’ve got the latest JustPark app installed and you’re logged in.
  • Enable your phone’s Location Services and allow the app to access location “While Using”.
  • Keep your booking confirmation handy (booking reference & Location ID).

🔑 PIN code not working

  1. Check the exact code from your booking (watch for 0/O and 1/I mix-ups).
  2. Enter the code slowly and firmly on the keypad, then press “Enter/✓” if required.
  3. Try again from a neutral keypad state (some keypads “lock” after rapid attempts).

If the PIN still doesn’t work:

📱 “Open Barrier” button issues (in-app)

  1. Confirm your Location Services are enabled and you’re right by the barrier.
  2. Force-close and reopen the JustPark app, then retry the button.
  3. Check the app has Bluetooth (if applicable) and mobile data permissions enabled.
  4. Toggle Airplane Mode off/on to refresh the signal, then try again.
  5. Ensure you’re logged into the account that made the booking and you’ve opened the correct booking.
Tip: The Open Barrier button only appears if the site supports it and you’re on the active booking view in-range of the barrier.

🚧 Can’t enter or exit after trying the above?

  • If you can, pay at the on-site machine so you can park/leave without delay.
  • Then request a full refund of your JustPark booking here: Request a Refund. Include your booking reference, Location ID, time of issue, and any photos/receipts.
Please don’t tailgate another vehicle through the barrier — it’s unsafe and may invalidate any support/refund.
