Parking Peace of Mind

Parking Peace of Mind - what it is and how it works

🛡️ Parking Peace of Mind — cover, validity & refunds

Parking Peace of Mind is an optional insurance add-on for private parking spaces booked through JustPark. If your vehicle is damaged and you make a successful claim on your own motor insurance, we will refund 100% of your excess (up to £1,000).

💡 Why add it?

Excess fees on motor insurance can be steep. For example, £1,500 of damage with a £500 excess would normally leave you paying £500 — with Parking Peace of Mind, we refund that excess (up to the cap below) after a successful claim on your motor policy.

Excess refund limit: up to £1,000.

🤝 Who’s involved

  • WeCovr — FCA-authorised & regulated partner ensuring the product is compliant.
  • Allianz — the insurer underwriting Parking Peace of Mind.
  • ClaimEz — independent claims handler (manages your claim).

In short: WeCovr ensures FCA compliance, ClaimEz handles claims independently, and Allianz underwrites the cover.

🕒 When cover starts (and what you need to provide)

  • 🛡️ When to add insurance:
You can choose to include insurance when making a booking by turning the insurance toggle on during checkout.

  • After your booking is confirmed, you’ll be asked to provide your full name and address.

  • We send these details (along with your booking and payment information) to the insurer, and your cover starts at the beginning of the booked time and date.

⚖️ FCA guidelines — keeping your cover valid

  • Once your booking starts, it must remain unaltered for the insurance to stay valid. If you extend your booking, the insurance will be void and we’ll refund the insurance fee.
  • The payment method used for the insurance add-on must be the same as the payment method used for the booking itself.

❎ If your booking is changed/extended/cancelled/refunded

  • Your parking refund (if eligible) will be issued per our standard policy.
  • Your Parking Peace of Mind fee will be refunded separately to your original payment method and may appear as its own line on your bank statement. (takes 5-10 business days)

📝 Start a claim from your account

  1. After your booking is complete, go to My Bookings and open the relevant booking.
  2. Choose the Insurance tab, then select Make a claim.

We’ll email you the details you need and the next steps, and we’ll automatically record the date and time you started the claim.

If you need to notify a potential claim, you can also contact:

Tel: 01455 852100
Email: claims@rhinoprotectinsurance.com, with a copy to claims@wecovr.com

Please include your policy number and a brief description of the circumstances. A claim form will be provided — complete and return it without delay.

Parking issue (not an insurance claim)? If you have a problem or complaint relating to your parking, please get in touch with JustPark — we’re best placed to resolve parking issues. Insurance partners only handle insurance claims.

📄 What you’ll receive after purchase

With your booking confirmation, you’ll also receive three insurance documents:

  1. Policy Schedule — specific to your booking start/end times.
  2. Full Policy Terms
  3. IPID (Insurance Product Information Document)

💷 Price

  • £0.29 per hour on top of your booking price.

Example: If your booking is £10 for 5 hours, Insurance is £0.29 × 5 = £1.45, so the total is £11.45.

📌 Key points at a glance
