Overstay Policy

⛔ Overstay Policy — How we help

When a driver overstays their booking on a private space, it can disrupt other drivers and Space Owners. Our goal is to resolve the situation quickly, fairly, and keep bookings running smoothly.

We’ll contact the driver, help arrange the correct extra time through JustPark, and prioritise clearing the space for upcoming bookings.


🤝 What JustPark will do

🕑 Short overstays (2–3 hours)

If the daily or capped rate for that day has already been reached, our priority is to clear the space quickly:

  • We’ll contact the driver and request they move or extend as soon as possible.
  • Where an overstay causes disruption and the driver doesn’t cooperate, we may apply a admin fee in line with our terms.

📅 Longer overstays (7+ days)

We can charge for additional time up to 7 days and we’ll keep the Space Owner informed while we work to resolve the situation. If a vehicle remains beyond this and there’s still no response from the driver, we’ll advise the Space Owner on next lawful steps based on local regulations.

💳 Payments & booking extensions

Please keep a valid payment method on your account so we can process extra time smoothly. If there’s any payment issue (for example, a removed card or a wallet provider problem), we’ll reach out and ask the driver to move or make a new booking.

🔁 If a payment attempt fails

We’ll retry once after a short interval and continue to contact the driver. If payment still can’t be processed, we’ll keep the Space Owner updated while we work on clearing the space.

🗓️ Monthly bookings that run over

If a monthly booking ends and the vehicle remains, we’ll contact the driver to renew or make a new booking. If there’s no response, we’ll support the Space Owner with next steps consistent with our terms and local regulations. Repeat misuse may lead to account action.

⚠️ If a confirmed next booking is affected: we’ll prioritise clearing the space, coordinate with both parties, and apply appropriate measures in line with our terms.

A driver is still in my space and my booking is about to start — what should I do?

  1. 📸 Take a quick photo of the vehicle (timestamped if possible).
  2. 📞 Contact JustPark Customer Support — we’ll reach out to the driver and help clear the space. Find Support here.

I’m overrunning my booking — what should I do?

  1. 📲 Use the app to extend your booking (if available).
  2. ☎️ If you can’t extend, please make a new booking for the extra time or contact Support here.

Can I pay the Space Owner cash for the extra time?

Please don’t. For everyone’s protection, all payments should go through JustPark.
