Technical questions

I have broken down. What do I do?

đźš— Broken down during your booking?

We’re sorry you’re in this situation. JustPark is the payment provider and can’t assist with vehicle recovery. However, here’s what to do next so we can minimise disruption and avoid extra costs.

Important: JustPark cannot send breakdown support or move vehicles. Please contact your roadside assistance or recovery provider for towing/repairs.

🏡 If you’re in a private driveway/space

  1. Contact the space owner immediately (phone number is in your confirmation email). Explain the issue and your estimated recovery time.
  2. If the space will be blocked, ask the owner to contact JustPark so we can cancel/relocate any upcoming bookings.
  3. Arrange removal of the vehicle as soon as possible. You may be liable for costs if future bookings must be cancelled or relocated because your vehicle is blocking the space.

🏢 If you’re in a commercial/ANPR car park

  • Extend your booking (if available) to avoid a potential PCN while you wait for recovery.
  • Follow on-site signage/instructions (e.g., barrier/ANPR rules).
  • If you cannot extend and must remain on site, keep evidence of the breakdown (recovery report, photos) for any appeal with the operator.

đź‘‹ Guidance for Space Owners

  • If a driver tells you they’ve broken down in your private space, please work with them and ask for their recovery ETA.
  • Let JustPark know so we can cancel/relocate any affected future bookings.
  • Out of hours? If you cannot reach us, please contact upcoming drivers directly to explain the situation and then cancel those bookings in your account so they receive a full refund.

📞 Who to contact

  • Roadside recovery: Your breakdown provider (AA, RAC, manufacturer, insurer, etc.).
  • Space owner: Use the phone number in your confirmation email (private spaces).
  • JustPark: Contact Customer Support for help cancelling/relocating bookings.

⚠️ Liability & fines

  • If your broken-down vehicle blocks a private space and we must cancel/relocate other drivers, you may be responsible for associated costs.
  • In ANPR/managed car parks, not extending your session may result in a PCN. Always follow on-site rules and keep breakdown evidence for any appeal.

📝 Summary

  • JustPark can’t provide recovery — call your breakdown provider.
  • Private space: contact the owner immediately; you may be liable if others are affected.
  • Commercial/ANPR: extend your booking if possible to avoid fines.
  • Space owners: notify JustPark (or drivers out of hours) and cancel affected bookings so drivers are refunded.
