If a payment isn't going through when you're trying to book, or add a card to your JustPark account, it's usually something quick and fixable. Please work through the checks below in order β most people find the issue resolves within the first few steps.

β‘ 1. Quick checks before anything else
Start here β a quick sense-check before going any further.
Before diving into any troubleshooting, please make sure:
- Your card details (number, expiry date, CVV) have been entered correctly.
- The billing address on file with us matches the one your bank has on record.
- Your card hasn't expired or been recently replaced.
- You have sufficient funds or credit available.
- You have a stable internet connection.
π§ 2. Check whether you received a booking confirmation
If you can see a charge on your bank but no confirmation from us β read this first.
If you can see a charge on your bank statement but haven't received a booking confirmation email or notification from us, please don't assume the booking has gone through β the confirmation is the only way to know for certain that a booking has been made.
In cases like this, the charge you're seeing will almost always be a pending authorisation rather than a completed payment. When a payment attempt fails at our end, your bank may still temporarily hold the funds. These pending charges are not taken by us and will be released back to your account automatically by your bank, typically within 3β10 business days.
Please check your inbox (including your spam or junk folder) and your JustPark app for a confirmation. If you have one, the booking is valid. If you don't, please avoid attempting to rebook multiple times β each attempt can create another pending charge. Instead, work through the steps below to resolve the underlying issue first.
π¦ 3. Check with your bank or card issuer
Most failed payments are actually declined by the bank β not by us.
A large proportion of failed payments are actually declined by the bank rather than by us. This can happen for a number of reasons, including:
- Your bank has flagged the payment as suspicious and is waiting for you to confirm it.
- Online, contactless, or international payments are blocked on your card.
- You need to complete a 3D Secure (one-time passcode or in-app approval) step and it hasn't been actioned.
- A daily spending limit has been reached.
It's worth checking your banking app for any pending notifications, or contacting your bank directly to confirm nothing is blocking the payment from their end.
π³ 4. Try a different payment method
Rule out an issue with the specific card by trying an alternative.
If your bank confirms everything is fine on their side, try switching to another payment method to isolate the issue. JustPark accepts:
- Debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay (iOS)
- Google Pay (Android)
If the payment goes through on a different method, you'll know the issue is with the original card and can follow up with your bank.
π± 5. Troubleshooting the JustPark app (mobile)
If you're booking through the app, work through these in order.
Make sure the app is up to date
An out-of-date app is one of the most common causes of payment issues. Please head to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for JustPark, and install any available update.
Force close and reopen the app
Fully close the app in the background (don't just minimise it) and then reopen it. This clears any temporary session issues that might be interfering with the payment.
Log out and back in
From your profile settings, log out of your JustPark account, then sign back in. This refreshes your session and often resolves payment prompts that appear stuck.
Uninstall and reinstall the app
If the above hasn't worked, please delete the JustPark app entirely from your device, then reinstall it fresh from the App Store or Google Play Store. Sign back in and try the payment again.
π» 6. Troubleshooting on the web
If you're booking through justpark.com in a browser.
Clear your browser cache and cookies
Old cached data can interfere with the checkout process. Clear your browser's cache and cookies (particularly for justpark.com), close the browser entirely, and then try again.
Try a different browser
If clearing the cache doesn't help, try completing the booking in a different browser β for example, Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.
Try incognito or private browsing mode
Opening a private or incognito window disables extensions and starts a clean browsing session, which can bypass ad blockers or privacy extensions that occasionally interfere with card payments.
π 7. Try a different device
Rule out a device-specific issue.
If the payment still isn't going through, please try switching between mobile and web (or vice versa). Attempting the payment on a different device altogether can also help identify whether the problem is specific to one device.
π¬ 8. Still not working?
Contact our support team β here's what to include so we can help fast.
If you've worked through all of the above and the payment is still failing, please get in touch with our support team so we can investigate further. To help us resolve this as quickly as possible, please include:
- The exact error message you're seeing (a screenshot is ideal).
- The device and operating system you're using (e.g. iPhone 15, iOS 18).
- If on web, the browser and version.
- The payment method you were trying to use.
- The booking or listing you were trying to pay for.
- The approximate date and time the payment failed.
The more detail you can share, the faster we'll be able to get to the bottom of it.
