How to use the Open Barrier Button

🚧 Using the “Open Barrier” button

IMPORTANT: Turn on your phone’s Location Services and stand close to the barrier for this to work.

Some secure car parks include an in-app Open Barrier feature so you can enter/exit straight from your phone. You’ll see if your booking supports this in the Access instructions.

🔎 Check if your booking has it

  • Open your booking and read the Access instructions.
  • If “Open Barrier” is listed, you can use the steps below.

📱 How to use it (app or mobile web)

  1. Open the JustPark app (or log in to justpark.com on your mobile browser).
  2. Go to My bookings and select your current booking.
  3. Scroll to find the Open Barrier button and tap it to enter (or exit where supported).

🧰 Tips & troubleshooting

  • Ensure Location Services (and, if prompted, Bluetooth) are enabled for JustPark.
  • Stand within a few metres of the barrier; the button may be hidden until you’re nearby.
  • Refresh the booking screen if the button doesn’t appear, or fully close/reopen the app.
  • If the feature isn’t available for this site, use the alternative access method in your Access instructions (e.g., PIN, QR, intercom).

📝 Summary

  • “Open Barrier” works only when Location Services are on and you’re near the barrier.
  • Find it under My bookings → current booking → Open Barrier.
  • If you don’t see the button, check Access instructions for the site’s alternative entry method.
