Parking at a supermarket with JustPark

JustPark has partnered with Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Waitrose so you can stay beyond the free period without a ticket or needing to speak to anyone. Everything you need is in your booking's access instructions.

⚡ Quick read

  • 🔢 Your registration plate is your ticket. There's nothing to print, display or scan. Cameras read your plate on entry and exit and match it to your booking.
  • 🕒 Arrive from your start time. Leave by your end time. You can arrive at any point from your start time, and you do not need to contact anyone if you are running late within your booked period.
  • ⏱️ Your booking covers the time after the free period. Most supermarkets give a free stay of 2 or 3 hours. You only pay for the extra time.
  • 🪧 Signs and staff don't affect your booking. Maximum stay signs are for regular shoppers, you may not see JustPark signs, and staff might not know about your booking. You're still covered.
  • 🅿️ Park in any standard bay. Blue badge and parent & child bays aren't covered by your booking.
  • 🚗 Check if you can come and go. Some car parks allow one entry and one exit, others let you come and go. This varies by site, so check the listing description or the access instructions in your booking confirmation.
  • ⏩ Arriving early or staying longer? Sort this out before you arrive or before your booking ends. Most supermarket bookings can't be extended. Tap here to see what to do ↓

🔢 How it works

We've digitally reserved your space. The car park operator has your vehicle registration and the dates and times of your booking.

When you book, your vehicle registration is sent to the car park's enforcement system. Cameras read your plate on entry and exit and match it to your booking, so there's nothing to print, display or scan.

⏱️ The free period: what you're paying for

Every supermarket car park has a free stay, usually 2 or 3 hours. Your JustPark booking covers the time beyond that, so you only pay for the extra time you need.

Example: Parking for 4 hours at a supermarket with a 2-hour free period? Book a 2-hour JustPark session starting when the free period ends.

🪧 Signs and staff

Maximum stay signs apply to regular shoppers. With a JustPark booking, you're covered for the time you've booked.

You may not see any JustPark signs, and supermarket staff may not know about us. That's completely normal. We partner with the enforcement company that manages the car park, not the supermarket itself, and they have your booking.

🅿️ Where to park

Park in any standard bay. Check your access instructions in case your booking is limited to a specific area, such as an upper deck.

Blue badge and parent & child bays aren't covered by your booking. Parking in one without the relevant permit or entitlement could result in a fine.

🚗 Entry and exit

Some car parks allow one entry and one exit, so once you leave, your session ends, even if you have time left. Others let you come and go as often as you like during your booking.

This varies from site to site, so check the listing description before you book, or the access instructions in your booking confirmation if you've already booked.

Barrier or PIN entry? If your car park has a barrier or keypad and you need help getting in or out, check out this guide.

🕒 Arrive from your start time, leave by your end time

You can arrive at any point from your start time, and you do not need to contact anyone if you are running late.

Don't overstay. Make sure you leave before your booking ends. Staying longer than you've booked could result in a fine from the enforcement company.

⏩ Arriving early or extending your stay

Need to arrive earlier or stay longer than you've booked? Sort this out before you arrive early or before your current booking ends, so you're covered the whole time.

Most supermarket bookings can't be extended or changed, so check How do I change the details of my booking? It shows you how to change your booking, or what to do instead if you can't.

✏️ Changing your registration or other details

Most supermarket car parks don't allow changes once you've booked, including registration changes. This is because your details go to the enforcement system as soon as you book.

If you need to change something:

  1. Make a new booking with the correct details.
  2. Once it's confirmed, let us know and we'll refund the original.
Wrong make or model? Don't worry. Cameras only check your registration plate, so if that's correct, your booking is valid.

🤔 Is my space guaranteed?

You won't have a bay with your name on it, but supermarket parking is about as reliable as it gets.

Think of it like a flight or an Airbnb: you have a confirmed, paid booking that gives you the right to park, but not a physically reserved spot. We monitor capacity and only sell a portion of the spaces, so the rest stay available for shoppers. Supermarket spaces also turn over constantly, since shoppers without a booking are limited to the free period.

If you arrive and the car park is genuinely full, contact us within 48 hours and we'll refund your booking.

📅 Parking across multiple days

  • Consecutive days (e.g. Monday to Wednesday): make one booking covering the full period.
  • Non-consecutive days (e.g. Monday, Friday and Sunday): use Multi-book at checkout. Tap + Add additional booking to add up to 5 days in one transaction, with just one transaction fee.

🏪 Where can I book?

We currently support car parks operated by Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Waitrose. Availability varies by location, so search for your supermarket in the app or on our website.
